The city of Austin,TX has unveiled plans to remake the current Electrical Grid. The plan includes a set of recommendations ranging from improving energy efficiency to remaking the business model of the local utility. The plan is intended to serve as a national model. The Illinois Senate has voted to end a ban on building nuclear power plants in the state. Six plants are currently operating in the state.
