Feed In Tariffs Create Growth In Renewable Energy

A Feed In Tariff is a Government Program which pays a guaranteed rate (usually above the current rate) for electricity produced from a Renewable Energy Source. This Policy has spurred rapid growth of Renewable Energy Sources (much of it Solar) in Germany the country in which it was created. Ontario , Canada is the latest example of a successful Feed In Tariff Program creating $4.7 Billion in economic activity. Yesterday at The Brookings Institution President Obama outlined proposals to promote job creation. Mr. Obama said he wanted more subsidies for green jobs. The administration received far more qualified applications, particularly from makers of wind turbines and solar panels, than it had money to give, he said. He also stated “The Nation which leads in Clean Energy Leads the World. ”

EPA Rules ! – Greenhouse Gases Pose a Danger to Human Health and The Environment

The EPA on Monday issued a final ruling that greenhouse gases imperil human health and the environment. This ruling paves the way for regulation of carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles, power plants, factories and other major sources.
